THE COMING BOROUGH ELECTION* To the Editor. Sir, —In this caee we .have three good men standing for one vacant .seat on the Council. One candidate from the west was nominated some weeks ago, before,.departure on a holiday, if rumour, speaks truly, one old “wise man of the east" exhibited some electioneering ability when, without himself appearing in the matter, he engineered another nomination from the, west. However, he must not think the public are so easily gulled, and that because the west side votes will he split; his nominee will, walk in.— Yours etc., -■ WEST SIDER. Temuka, 10/5/26. •
