The first part was by the children, who had been carefully trained by Mrs Routledge, abLy assisted by Mrs Salmon and 'Miss Phillins, and the way the young performers gave their items reflected much credit on themselves and their teachers. Loud applause followed each item, the audience showing in an unmistakeable way that they were well pleased. The Rev. No doubt the children had enjoyed their part, but an enormous amount of work had devolved on their teachers, Mrs Routledge, Mrs Salmon and Miss Phillips. The vote w-as carried by acclamation, and a verse of the National Anthem brought another enjoyable and highly successful concert to a close. The accompaniments were played by Mrs Salmon, and contributed in no small measure lo the enjoyment of the evening.
