PROFIT NEARLY £5,000,000. At a meeting of the Anglo-Persian Company, the chairman, Sir Charles Greenway, stated that the gross profits for the last fiancial year were £4,948,000. They would have been much larger but for the very nmple provision made for depreciation. There would be some decline in profits for the current year, but there was every reason 1 , to anticipate a further large increase in the following year, when the large additional capital outlay recently made would begin to bear fruit.
