CHRISTMAS SHOPPING. RARE WEDDING GIFTS. Viscount Lascelles and Princess Mary nowadays are familiar habitues of Bond Street, Regent Street, an« neighbouring haunts of fashionable shoppers. They are frequently together selecting Christmas and wehdllpri?cess Mary’s partiality for blue and green stones has prompted the selection of a George 11. diadem of live large sapphires set with brilliants an Indian carved emerald drop embellished with pearls and diamonds, and two bracelets, one studded with emeralds and diamonds and the other with sapphires and diamonds. The Princess’s taste in brooches is evidenced by her choice of several consisting of pearls and diamonds. She follows her mother’s liking for snuff boxes, preferably of lapsus lazuli, and has chosen a couple. The Queen accompanies Princess Mary to antique shops, proffering the counsel of a connoisseur in the selection of Period furniture. Viscount Lascelles himself is a coimoisseur in the mutter of antiQues, and has selected several presents, including fine jade, Heppelwhite furniture, and porcelain china.
