'The, Canterbury Land Board met on Tuesday. Present —Messrs T. N. Brodrick, Commissioner of Crown Lands, (chairman), J. Sealy, R. Maeaulay, T. Gibson, and J. Stephenson. A number of applications for smatl holdings were considered and dealt with. The following applications for transfer were approved :--L. in P. 211 and 109, lots 8 and 9, Res. 389, Orari, 9('a 31p, W. Payne to W. Payno. jim, of Orari. farmer ; L. in P. lot 4, Orakipaoa settlement, Temulti, 5 acres, Public (Trustee (in re C. Neville, deceased), to C. Maher, ot Tern u' a, farmer; L. in P. 792, lot 23, Res. 1128, Studholme. Junction, 20 acres, G. Duncan to T. Holmes, of Studholme. farmer. The following applications for transfer were declined :—L. in P. 1598, lot 137, Rosewill Settlement, 9 acres, •Tana Gibbs to R. A : .
