CANTERBURY LAND BOARD.
'The, Canterbury Land Board met on Tuesday. Present —Messrs T. N. Brodrick, Commissioner of Crown Lands, (chairman), J. Sealy, R. Maeaulay, T. Gibson, and J. Stephenson. A number of applications for smatl holdings were considered and dealt with. The following applications for transfer were approved :--L. in P. 211 and 109, lots 8 and 9, Res. 389, Orari, 9('a 31p, W. Payne to W. Payno. jim, of Orari. farmer ; L. in P. lot 4, Orakipaoa settlement, Temulti, 5 acres, Public (Trustee (in re C. Neville, deceased), to C. Maher, ot Tern u' a, farmer; L. in P. 792, lot 23, Res. 1128, Studholme. Junction, 20 acres, G. Duncan to T. Holmes, of Studholme. farmer. The following applications for transfer were declined :—L. in P. 1598, lot 137, Rosewill Settlement, 9 acres, •Tana Gibbs to R. A : . Augusti of Timnru, gardener; L. in P. 1740, lot 13, Mills settlement, 4-1 J- acres, D. Rainey, inn., to J. E. Fraser, of Waimate, farm overseer ; Renewable lease lot 13, Clnndeboye settlement, R. M'Miillan to Susan M'Millan. Applications by R. E. Vincent (Albury), A. Maedonald (Albury), J. M'Cort (Albury, J. Trembath (Albury), G. L. Murray (Rossvdl), 'I. L. Lamb CRosewill), and Mrs M.
