CLEARING SALE.
i The National Mortgage and Agen.cy [Company of New Zealand, Ltd., report having held a clearing sale on 'account of Messrs Connor Bros., Ka- ■ kahu, on Thursday, ISth inst. The I attendance of fanners from the surrounding districts was good, and com- : petiticrii throughout the sale was keen, especially for some of the draught horses. The following are a few of tlie realised prices : —Horses—Bay geld"'g* Oyrs, £6O; bay mare, Oyrs, £SO ; bay mare, syrs, £55 : bay saddle awl harness gcMiwg, ling, £l2 ; bay gelding, Byrs," £'3l 10/- ; bay mare, Gyrs, £24." Sheep— Two-tooth ewes 10/2, two-tooth wethers 11/8, cull lambs S/6, aged ewes 6/3. Six stacks of oaten sheaves at £lO to £l3 10/- per stack. Immediately after the disposal of the stook and plant, the farm, a leasc-in-perpe-tuity of 205 acres, in the Rapivwai Settlement, was put up for sale, and after some spirited competition, was sold to Mr D. Kee.
