¥ MURDEROUS ASSAULT AND DO-' MESTTC TEAGEDY.

AUCKLAND, July 23. News comes from Fiji of a murderous assault on Mr Joseph Beit, manager of the Colonial Sugar Company Nalovu estate at Luutoka, who has under his charge about 200 East Indian immigrants. While he was asleep, four Indians attacked him with an axe, and largo canc knives, and blithered him in a horrible manner.
