SUDDEN DEATH.
Mrs Tat hum, of PlcuSaut Valley, died on:Wednesday evening somewhat suddenly'. Who had been, staying with friends i nUcraldine f o r a few days while repairs were lieing made to her house, and on Wednesday she left for home walking part of the way. Mrs Tat ham walked from Ueraldino as far as the dairy factory where .she Was given a lift'in Messrs Sherratt and (Jo's si ore cart which left her at Mrs Young's residence. Hero the deCeased stayed lor the afternoon a n d had tea after which .she left with her grandchild for home, and when about a quarter of a mile from there she was suddenly taken ill and had to lean against a fence. In this state she was f o und by n lad named Scott, son of Mr It. Scott, who was driving a gig in the direction of Gerald'me. At Mrs Tatham's request young Scott drove hoi- back -o Mrs Young's house and Mrs Young' and Mrs MiUard came out to assist her from the gig when the sufferer suddenly expired. The matter was re-, ported to the police at Goraldine but as Tir. 1-fislbp had been attending deceased for sometime and was prepared to give a certificate of death, the Coroner did hot deem it necessary to hold "an inquest.
