Christmas Hamper for the Seventh Contingent.

In response to an invitation to Tetnuka residents to send to South Africa gifts which will be appreciated by members of the seventh Contingent now at the Front, Captain Richardson has to acknowledge donations in kind from various sources. The list would probably have been larger, but a general impression prevails that it is impossible the gifts can reach the intended recipients. Probably in due course this impression may bo disabused. The gifts were enclosed as suggested, and carefully packed by Mr J. Cooper, tinsmith, of Tetnuka, and consigned through the Defence Department. Parcels were received from Mesdames Webb, Roddick, Cook (2 parcels), Duuford, Monahan, and Messrs Waddell, J. Scott, C. Pye, A. Colville, N. McKenzie, Rutland, P. Coira, J. Holwell, J. McHratney (I parcels), A. W. Gaze and L Upiichard, E. Richardson, and Temuka Rifle Volunteers.
