WASIIDYKE SALE. At tho Washdyko sale on Tuesday fat ewes sold at 11s (id to 12s, store sheep (four and six-tooth owes and wethers) 13s. There was a brisk sale, and tho entries were above the average. ALB DRY SALE. " The stock sale at Albury on Monday, the first for about two months, was very good. There was not a large yarding, but all sold at good prices. The attendance was good and competition spirited. A fair entry of cattle met a dragging sale. MONETARY AND COMMERCIAL London, Jan, 21. Wool.-—The bidding at the sales was more spirited, and there were fewer withdrawals. The merino classes and crossbreds wore extremely firm. To date 4-7,114 bales have been catalogued, and 29,525 halos sold. The following prices were obtained for New Zealand clips:— Aramobo 7|d, Gear S: ! r d, Pawkawa IGjd. Mutton.—Both New Zealand and River Plate mutton are unchanged. London, Jan. 22. At the wool sales better competition was manifested, and merinos showed a hardening tendency. Melbourne, Jan. 23. At the wool sales sympathy was shown with the Loudon market. Merinos and fine crossbreds declined Id to lid, and coarse crossbreds declined fdas compared with the previous sale.
