Fishing Competition.
The annual competition, in connection with the Temnka Anglers’ Club, adjourned from December ISth, was held yesterday. The following are particulars •. — Class I.—For fly only; Hours. S a.m to 8 p.m. First prize, value 15s, with the privilege of winners name being engraved on cup, presented by Mr K. Heaton Rhodes. (Last year won by Mr Jas. Findlay with 13 fish weighing 91b 150z5.) For heaviest basket: 5 entries —N. C. Nicholas, 33 fish weighing 271 b 1-loz, 1; J. Illundeu, 23 fish, 131 b s.',ozs, 2; J. Findlay, 11 fish, 121 b soz, 3.
’ Special Prize—Value 21s, given by Sir IV. Hluuden ; To be competed for by anglers who have not hitherto won a prize ; Conditions as Class D—P. P. AVhlto, 5 fish, 2.b 11.'.0z. Several yet to weigh in. 'boys’ Class—For fly only hours 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Six entries or no second prize. Prizes, 10s and 7s Gd: Four entries —D. McLeod, 25 fish, lllb lOoz.
