CORRESPONDENCE.
TOWN BOARD ELECTIONS.
TO THE EDITOK. Slit, —Seeing that we have a large number of aspirants for the position of members of our Town Board, 1 would suggest that a public meeting be called iu the Volunteer Hall, Temuka, to give all candidates an opportunity of stating their views on matters affecting the interests of our town district. The past members have been a very happy family, but what great works have they done for us ? Is it not time that we had some system of drainage which will do away with all our slops and refuse beiDg doposited in our back premises ? Kindly do your best to get this public meeting held, and you will confer a favour ou, yours, etc., A fIATEPAYEK. [Quite right. In other places candidates for public offices state their views, but it never has been the practice here, and it is time it was inaugurated. Tho candidates who will eome forward and state their views will find that they will havo the best chance of being elected. —E i>.]
