A telegram from Mongonui states that the natives on the north coast of the township report that during a strong easterly gale on Sunday, thousands of oranges, apparently an island vessel’s cargo, were washed ashore on the beach between Nuka point and Taipu. It is surmised that the oranges have been washed overboard from some vessel, probably the Little Agues, which is due in Auckland from the Hervey Group with fruit,
