Your ' Coinmittee would recommend that a small overdraft be- obtained from the : , 1 manager of the Bank of New Zealand in order to meet present liabilities, and also i 'hit .the;incoming Committee be empn»«red in. order to increase the popularity and usefulness of the Institute —to lend books on the same principle as . th«t adopted at Woodbury. The applicainn for the Government subsidy towards th«j funds of the Institute has already been compiled, together with an abstract i of receipts and expenditure of the I Institute, and will be duly forwarded I when, signed by a Justice of the Peace.
