CHAIRMAN'S STATEMENT. :; The Chairman reported that during the month tenders bad been received and accepted for sinking and bricking the well and the work had been done in a satisfactory manner. ■ WORKS COMMITTEE. The Works Committee reported that they had visited the Raokapuka Bush in company with the contractor, and pointed out the spots at which it was considered beat to erect the large and small gates, and stills. The action of the Works Committee was approved of. BY-LAWS. It was deoided that the by-laws be published again, in accordance with the Act, and that they come into forot on February 12. V THE LAMPS. ■ ' It »»a decided to obtain new burners of a uniform pattern for all the lamps, the Works Committee to obtain suitable burners, OVERSEER'S BBPOM. The Overseer's report was read as follows: "The Chairman and members of the Geraldine Town Board. "Gentlemen, —I have the honor to report for yonr information that since the. , last ordinary meeting the work authorised;] has been oarried out, involving more labor j j than at first anticipated on account of the j' great quantity of vegetation and rabbish J which had accumulated in the water- 1 tables.
