The following is the report for the week ending Wednesday : Wheat—Millers have shown more desire to purchase fine quality, with a decided preference for Tuscan and red straw, but other milling sorts in fine order are also in good demand. Medium down to chick feed is in brisk demand, dealers supplies being ne»rlv run out. Quotations Choice Tuscan, 4s 8d to 4s 9£d ; ditto velvet, 4s 7<l to As 9*; ditto red straw, 4b 7d to 4s B£d ; other prime sorts, 4s fid to 4s 8d ; medium, 4s3d to 4s 5d ; inferior an ! chick feed, 3s 9d to 4s 2d. Oats-*-Themarket must be looked upon as decidedly easier for all sorts ; on the oi her hand, some sellers are firm in their demands, and hold out for recent top r .tes, which are at present quite unobtainabb. Fine milling, 2a 4d to 2* 4Jd (held for 2s 5d and 2s 6d); stout briglit feed, 2s 2sd to 2s 3d 5 medium, 2s Id to 2s 2d ; inferior Is lid to 2s. Barley-.—r Mailing, .in fine color is occasionally inquired for, but prices offered are not up to expectation. Milling and feed are in strong request at a slight advance. Malting, 3s to 3s lsd ; filling, 2e 8d to 3i lOd; feed, 2s 6d to 3b 7d. . Potatoes—The market is well stocked with Derwents, which are dull of sale. Prime fresh picked Derwents, 70s to 75s ; inferior, 40s to 60s; kidneys are slow of sale »t 60s to 70s per ton. • Ryegrass Spring orders are now coming to hand for machine dressed, which sells at 5s to 6s 9d ; and farmers undressed lots at 4s to 4s 9d per bushel of 201 b. Cocksfoot ia worth 4£d to fid per lb. Butter—Salt oveisupp ied, at 8d to Bsd for prime and 7d fur pastry ; fresh, Is, ] , Eggs -Is 4d per dozen, but likely to drop. Turnips—2ls. ~ - . Carrots—4os. Sheepskins—On Monday green crossbreds sold «t 3i 6d to 4s fld ; green merinos, 3s 2d to 3s 6d.; diy crossbreds, Is 4d to 4s 7d ; dry merinos, Is Id to 3s 91 . pelts, gd to Qd ; lambskins, Is to 3s 4'tHides—Cut, slippy, and badly flayed, l|d to 2d ; light weight**, 2£d to 2|d ; medium, 8d to ; good conditioned lots, heavy weights, 3sd to 3| 1 per lb; green ox, at 15s to 20s ; do cow, 10i to 16s. Tallow—Prime mutton, £l7 to £l9; mixed, £l4 to £ls 10« ; inferior, £IS to £l3 ; rough fat (mutton cauls), lla to 12s; mixed butchers’ (fresh), 9s to 10s ; inferior and badly kept lots, 6s 6d to 8s 6d per cwt.
