SUPREME COURT.

At the Supreme Court, Christchurch, on Monday, the Grand Jury found true bills in all the cases. Arthur Benjamin Renton was convicted of forgery and sentenced to eighteen months’ imprisonment with hard labor; Mary Fitzsimmons, for assaulting her husband, wasorderedto come up for sentence when oalled upon; John Moore, convicted of indecent assault was sentenced to six months’' hard labor ; and Andrew Yon Hollow to twelve months hard labor for forgery. Robert Kent and Charles Stanton wedge, accused of assault and highway robbery, were •acquitted. On Tuesday, Charles Miller, for burglary', was sentenced to five years’ penal, servitude. Thomas Gillon, for burglary, was sentenced to seven years’ penal servitude, and-Jatpes Shears, for robbery from the person, to five years’ penal servitude. Alexander McPhail, for larceny, was sentenced to one year’s imprisonment with hard labor ; Nellie Mulholland, charged with stealing from the person, and Louis Francis Le Yalliant, charged with larceny, were acquitted. At the Supreme Court, Dunedin, on Tuesday, the case M. Dalbedyhall v. Dalbedyhail was called on. This was a case in which the wife claimed for her separate use £IOOO left under her father’s will, which her husband received as her trustee. The Court granted the dectee as prayed.
