GERALDINE BEAGLE CLUB.

The annual general meeting of members took place on Tuesday last at the kennels, Wainui, Winchester, Present —Mr W. Postlethwaite, B. H. Postlethwaite, P. Wareing, Dr Hayes, P. H. Barker, A. L. Barker, Ensor, Gray, Eckford, and the Hon. W. Kolleston. The wet weather doubtless prevented many others from being present. The President, Mr W. Postlethwaite, took the chair, JfINUTES. The Secretary read the minutes of the last meeting, which were confirmed. report. The report of the Committee w«« then read as follows ; “ The Committee beg to lay before the members the accounts with balance-sheet of the Club’s affairs for the past year, showing its financial position. On account of the master's absence from the district last season, there was no hunting. This meeting will have to decide as to continuing hunting and whether the Club should be kept up or otherwise. Mr A. L. Barker has intimated he will be unable to undertake the duties of master any further. Should it bo decided to continue the Club, fresh officers will have to be elected tor the ensuing year. If otherwise, the disposal of hounds and other matters in connection with the Club will have to be considered end decided at this meeting." The report, after being considered, and discussed was adopted by the meeting. MISCELLANEOUS

Mr Rolieston proposed, Dr Hayes seconded, and it was carried—“ I’hal pending a resumption of hunting, members of the Club be not called upon for their subscriptions." Mr Rolieston proposed, Mr F. H. Barker seconded, and it was carried — “ That in the meantime the existing officera continue to hold office."

Mr Wareing proposed, Mr Rolieston seconded, and it was carried—“ That the hounds with the exception of what the master desires to keep, be sold, and the sum received for such be added to the funds of the Club. ’

Proposed by Mr Ensor, seconded by Mr F. H. Barker, and carried, “ That the balanci of money remaining to the credit of the Club be deposited at interest with the Bank, in the name of the President and Master of the Club.

Mr Rolieston propose), Dr Hayes seconded, ami it was carried unanimously—“ That the members of the Club desire to tender their sincere thanks to Mr A. L. Barlor, for his kind services as master, and hej to express their warm appreciation lor the great interest he has taken in the Club since it’s commencement.”

After votes of thanks to the Chairman and Secretary had been passed the meeting terminated.
