DUNEDIN JOCKEY CLUB AUTUMN MEETING.
The weather yesterday was dull but fine, and the course was in splendid order. There were about 3000 people on the course when the proceedings began. Hurdle Race, of 100 sovs. Trapper 1 Kingask 2 The horses all got away to a fair start except Agnes, who was left at the post. Temuka and Garabaldi alternately led for a mile, till the latter fell at the last hurdle but one, interfering with Kitigask. Mayboy came with a rush at the last hurdle, coming in first by three quarters of a length. Mayboy was protested against for running round a hurdle, and the stakes were awarded to Trapper. Time 3 min secs. Totalisator dividends—£3 17s and £3 Us. Champagne Stakes, of 350 sovs. Artillery 1 Ruby 2 Apropos.,, ... 3 This was won by a short neck. Totalisator dividends—£ll 9s and £8 11s 6d. Dunedin Cup, of 1000 sovs; 2 miles. Nelson 1 Necklace ... ... ... ... 2 Lady Emma ... 3
