The smallpox patients at the Hospital are -progressing satisfactorily towards recovery.
Sir W. Jervois arrived here to-day from Sydney overland. Sydney, July 11.
Sir W. Jerrois inspected the local defences and works in progress , yesterday. His Excellency leaves for Melbourne to-lay At to-day’« meeting of thei Presby. terian Conference, a resolution w«» adopted favoring, the union of the Presbyterian Churches in Australia.
