The attendance at this sale was large, and for the different lines submitted a keener competition and better prices were realized than has been for some months past, which, no doubt, is owing to the fine weather we have had for some time past enabling farmers to get their products turned into cash. It is our opinion that the district will not lose so much from the effects of the heavy rainfall as was at first anticipated. TIMARU.
