Satisfactory Clearance Reported at Fordell Sale

A satisfactory clearancc of sheep at the Fordell sale is reported by the New Zealand Loan and Mercancile Agency C.o. Ltd. About .1000 sheep, consisting niainly of lambs, and a few small lines of breeding ewes, were ofTered. There was a fair attendance of buyers from Taranaki, Hangitikei and Wanganui districts. The sheep, as a rule, wero not up to the quality of the previous yarding, but any iines that were passed in at auction were afterwards disposed of privately. Prices realised were: Four-tooth ewes to 21s, six-tooth ewes to 19s, four-year ewes from tfis to 20s, five-year ewes to lfis tid, mediuin ewe lambs to 15s 3d. small ewe lambs to 10s, good wether lambs to 17s, mcdium wether lambs from 10s 2d to 11s, b.f. woolly lambs from 12s 6d to 13s Gd, b.f. two-tooths to 17s lOd, cull lambs from 5s ld to 5s fid.
