Tragic Solution to Mystery of the Sea

Rec. 9.15p.m. Sydney, March 21. A tragic solution of the mystery of the disappearance of three men in a launch last August was provided by the finding of a letter in a sealed jamjar on Avoca beach, which is about 50 miles north of 6ydney. The letter revealed th& tortures of the men, who were adrift fiye days without food or water. The jar contained the will of the owner of the launch. It was written at sea, the signature being witnessed by his two companions. The party left La Perouse for Port Kembla on August 30 last and, despite an intensive search by sea and air, wai not seen again.
