Mr. C. McDonald, well known in Hawera golf circles, has been transferred to Wellington after six years at the Hawera branch of the National Bank>. His place will be taken by Mr. G. T. Gould. on promotion from the Wellington office. Mr G. Mawhinney has returned to Patea from his annual holiday. Mr. J. Geary, Manutahi, who was admitted to the Patea Hospital with _ a compoimd fracture of his leg, is making satisfactory progress. Mr. P. C. Wills, Manutahi, is visiting relatives at Walton. Mr. W. Hodson, officer and supervisor of" research areas for the greens research committee of the New Zealand Golf Council, was a visitor to Patea on Thursday. The Mayor, Mr. 1. J. Bndger and Cr. C. E. Forth, have been appointed by the Eltham Borough Council its representatives on the South Committee of the Egmont National Park. Board,
