Carter, a member of the Mangatoki branch, for provincial life membership was made by' the meeting. An address on natiorial health insurance .was given by Dr. G. Home, New Plymouth. He said there was no urgency, excluding political reasons, for the sudden establishment of such a scheme. He advocated the adoption of the British Medical Association 's. schem'e, which, although . having. as its basis the same ambition as that of the - Government, the bodily wellbeing of the people, was not so drastic in its .introduction;
