WINTER CUP CANDIDATE
good brabazon effort \ Sovereign Lady lost none of her Winter Cup admirers by her showing in' the Brhbazon Handicap at Riccarton on Saturday. She was not prominent early but was running on strongly fairly close to the placed horses at the finish. Though she does very little racing Sovereign Lady has run few bad races and is likely to be one of the fancied runners in the Riccarton mile. She is a four-year-old mare by Winning Hit from Liege Lady, . a mare by Paladin from the imported Strona by Stolrm-away.
