PERSONAL ITEMS.
Mr. F. A. Rodie, New Plymouth, has been- appointed to succeed Mr. W. A. Betts, Kaponga manager for Messrs. Newton King, Ltd., who has been transferred to Te Awamutu. Sympathy with Mr. K. Rothe in the loss of his wife was expressed at the annual meeting of the Kaponga Jersey Cattle Club on Tuesday. Mr. W. McKee has returned to Patea from a holiday at Auckland. Mr. Jackson, Masterton, has returned after being a visitor to Patea. Mr. M. Bourke, Manaia, is the guest of Mr. P. A. Bourke, Whenuakura. Mr. Stuart Fuller-Sandys, Hamilton, elder son of Mr. S. R. Fuller-Sandys, Patea,' and his wife were at Patea for the Week-end. They will leave to-mor-row by the Monterey on a business trip to Australia, the Malay States, Argentina, Madagascar, East Africa and Rhodesia.
