WAITARA CYCLE RACE

CROW FIRST AND FASTEST. The Waitara Cycle and Athletic Club held the second of a series of road races over a course of 165 miles to Waiwakaiho bridge ahd foack on Tliursday. The results were: L. Crow (2m 45s) 1, G. Shing (2m 45s) 2, B. Lambert (lm 20s) 3, R. Greenlees (45s) 4. Fastest time, L. Crow, 47m 20 2-5s. The Iimit men, Crow and Shing, worked well and gave Greenlees and Lambert tio chance of catering them; they even gained time on those riders. In a good ftnish Crow beat Shing by six inches. It was some time before/ tlie other two riders put in an appearance, and then Lambert came very fast to beat Greenlees easily. Points for the points prize now stand: L. Crow 8, G. Shing 7, B. Lambert 4, W. Crow 2, R. Greenlees 1. The next race will be from Waitara to Onaero, up Owhanga Road to Tikorangi and back to Waitara, a distance of 17 miles.
