Hokitika, Last Night. When the Inquest was concluded today the coroner recorded a finding that Albert Ephriam Simms died in the Westland hospital on April 10 from a fracturer1 skull and lacerated brain as the result of being struck by b motor-car driven by Alfred James Andrews the previous evening in Fitzherbert Street under circumstances that called for further investigation. The coroner also expressed the opinion that the speed at which the striking car was travelling was excessive when the visibility and the conditions of the night in question were taken into full consideration.
