Auckland, March 25. Tlie course proper, on which the poles were out 40 feet, No. 3 grass and the tan tracks were available for fast work, but practlcally all the galloping was done on the first-named track. The best efforts of tlie moming were those of Scotland, Mazir, Kelly, Tooley Street and Francis Drake. On the course proper Kilonsa had Tooley Street as a companion over six furlongs, which occupied 1.16 2-5. It was the best of the morning over the distance and Tooley Street, who had an advantage in weight, beat his companion by over four lengths. Valspear after taking 37 3-5sec. for the first three furlongs, ran right away from Tliangilamba over six furlongs In 1.17 4-5. Royal Appellant Shaded.
