BOATSWAIN OF OIL-TANKER. BURIAL SERVICE ON SHIP. By Telegraph—t-'ress Association. Christchurch, Dec. 20. The ashes of the remains of David Kilminster, formerly boatswain of the Shell Company’s oil-tanker Paua, were buried at sea on Wednesday night during the passage from Wellington to Lyttelton. When the Paua was 14 miles off the Wellington Heads, Captain D. R. Patterson stopped the vessel and assembled the crew aft, where the burial service was read and the ashes distributed. Kilminster had been boatswain of the Paua for eight years.
