PROPOSAL TO RAISE LOAN
HAWERA DRAINAGE SCHEME. A proposal to apply to the Local Government Loans Board for its sanction to borrow £5847, or such larger sum as the council may deem desirable for the purposes of sewer drainage, will be considered by the Hawera Borough Council at a special meeting on Monday. All the preliminary investigations in connection with the sewer drainage scheme have been completed and the consideration of the raiding of loans is the final step.
