MR. W. G. SIMPSON AT TAWHITI. Guaranteed prices and matters concerning the friendly societies were the subject of questions at a meeting held at Tawhiti on Wednesday evening by Mr. W. G. Simpson, the Labour candidate in the Patea electorate. Mr. J. Young presided over a good attendance of electors and on the. motion of Mrs. Smythe and Mr. Anderson a vote of thanks and confidence was carried. Mr. Simpson outlined the Labour policy. As a result of questions the relationship between State health insurance and the friendly societies was discussed. The friendly societies would be consulted and would work in.. conjunction with the State, said Mr. Simpson. There would be a co-ordination of the services and in this' the friendly societies had everything to gain.
