LINER QUEEN MARY

ELABORATE DECORATIONS. THE MAXIMUM OF SUNSHINE. (British Official Wireless.) Rec. 5.5 p.m. Rugby, Nov. 6. Fifty varieties of wood will be used in the internal decoration of the liner Queen Mary. They include rare varieties such as betula, patapsko, makore and zebrano. Accommodation in the new liner is being planned to give the maximum of sunshine. The number and size of the windows is exceptional. The children’s playroom, for example, will have five 12ft. windows and a verandah. The grill room will have 22 windows. The statement that when the Queen Mary joins the company’s fleet the liner Berengaria will be withdrawn from service was not authorised by the Cunard White Star Line.
