REPAINTING OF SCHOOL
MOKOIA COMMITTEE MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Mokoia school committee was held in the schoolroom on Monday, those present being Messrs. W. J. Marsh (chairman), E. Dunn, T. Hey and E. Johnston (secretary). Mr. Long, headmaster, reported that the roll number was 40, with an average attendance of 38.7. Wet weather and colds had accounted for some children feeing away. The school and the teacher’s residence have had a general overhaul, the painters and carpenters having finished (hat day, it was reported.
