PASTURE JUDGING
RESULTS AT WHAREHUIA. Pasture judging at Wharehuia was concluded yesterday by Mr. A. G. Elliott, instructor in agriculture for the fields division of the Department of Agriculture. Pastures generally were showing obvious effects of the hard winter and in many instances the late spring flush of growth was not well controlled. Weeds appeared more prominent than usual in many areas. The district showed a decrease in the number of entries submitted, only 10 being judged, compared with 14 last year. Details of points allotted to tlie leading competitors are:—
