FORDELL SALE PRICES

FEW GOOD CATTLE SUBMITTED. _ >■ About 500 head of mixed cattle were yarded at Fordell on Tuesday. Only n limited number of good quality cattle were entered, however, and these met with good competition. There was also a gtrohg demand for station lines of cows and heifers. Young cattle ot a good standard did not realise the same rates as those ruling at the last sale, but a good clearance was effected. Some of the prices realised were: Three-year steers £6 15s to £6 7s, two-year steers £2 4s to £5 ss, small yearling steers £2 12s 6d to £3, fat cows £5 17s 6d, empty cows and heifers £5 Is to £4 10s, in-calf cows £4 7s 6d, empty ex-dairy cows £2 9s 6d to £1 17s, small yearling heifers £1 17s 6d.
