SOUTH AFRICAN GOVERNMENT. FIVE-YEAR PLAN EMBARKED ON. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Oct. 29. The Government of the Union of South Africa, says the Daily Telegraph’s Johannesburg correspondent, is embarking, on a five-year air force expansion plan, aiming at making South Africa equal to any second-rate Power. • The programme visualises 250 new machines, 3000 air mechanics and 1000 pilots, including the permanent force and reserves.
