Representatives of twenty county councils and other interested bodies in Canterbury at a conference to consider * plan for the eradication of gorse by planting pinus radiata resolved yesterday to urge on the Government the necessity of the control and eradication of gc rse, particularly on the poorer lands along the Canterbury foothills. A subcommittee was appointed to formulate a scheme. ’
