ELECTION OF UNION OFFICERS.
NEXT ASSEMBLY AT AUCKLAND.

Auckland’s application to hold the next assembly in that city wr - accepted by this morning’s session of the New Zealand Baptist Amenably, which dealt with the election of the office-bearers of the New Zealand Baptist Union for the ensuing year.

It was decided that in future, every nomination for the office of vice-presi-dent should be in writing, signed by the proposer, the seconder and the nominee. All such nominations should be lodged on or before September 1 of each year with the secretary, who should forthwith advise churches of the names of the nominees with a brief statement of the nominees’ association with the Baptist denomination.
