Nominations for the Moonee Valley Cox Plate include Peter Pan, Hall Mark, Sylvandale, Sporting Blood, Loud Applause, Gay Sheik, North Cape, Closing Time, Master Brierly and Feldspar. At Flemington on the sand Gay Star did two miles easily. Oro covered three furlongs in even time. Lord Carrington and Allunga did pace work. H. Bastian will ride Hostile in the Caulfield Cup. Isaacs, ridden by Voitre, failed to show up in the second division of the Welter at Moonee Valley to-day. Korero was a bad last early in the Lyndhurst Handicap but made up the lost ground in the final stages. It was a promising display. High Cross has been off colour since arriving at Melbourne but his trainer hopes the horse will be right to run in the Caulfield Cup. Tapestry arrived at Caulfield to-day.
