TAUMARUNUI SALE AND SHOW.

BULLS, COWS AND HEIFERS SOLD.

(Special to Daily News.) Taumarunui, Oct. 15. The sixth annual show and sale of registered Red Poll cattle was held at the Taumarunui saleyards to-day. There was a good attendance of Red Poll breeders and buyers from Wanganui, Manunui, Aukopae, Waimiha, Waikato and Papatoetoe. The entry comprised registered bulls, cows and heifers bred by L. C. Anderson (Wanganui), D. F. McLeod (Taumarunui), the estate of the late A. C. Anderson (Kukuta), P. T. Burgess (Ongarue), W. Finn (Waimiha), William Leask (Eureka) and Risk Bros. (Ohura). Before the sale Mr. C. E. Robertson, of Wright, Stephenson x and Company, said that although some of the cattle were not in show condition, they were of the desirable A.A. standard. He announced the following awards:—. Two-year-old bull: Mr. L. C. Anderson’s Parehauhau Knight 1, estate of the late A. C. Anderson’s Kukuta Mary Prince 2. Yearling bull: William Leask’s Waikato Abbott 2. Cows, two years and over: Risk Bros.’ Waitewhena Gold. Heifers: D. F. McLeod’s Opatu 71, 1; D. F. McLeod’s Opatu 70, 2.
