Commenting on malnutrition among school children, Sir Alexander Young, Minister of Health, stated that the incidence of malnutrition had declined and for 1934 was less than for the years preceding the economic depression. There had been a steady progressive increase in the average height and weight of New Zealand elementary school children during the last 20 years. New Zealand children compared more than favourably with those of other parts of the Empire. •
