YOUNG BABY’S DEATH
SHAWL FOUND OVER FACE. ACCIDENT IN PERAMBULATOR. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Oct. 15. An infant, Thomas John Allan Barry, aged two months, was accidentally suffocated in his perambulator at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Barry, Bassett Road, Remuera. The child was placed in the perambulator between 10 and 11 o’clock on Saturday night and slept peacefully all night. It was heard to cry in the morning, but when Mrs. Barry went to attend to the child he was not breathing. A shawl was over the infant’s face.
