Mrs. Henry Langlands, Whangarei, arrived yesterday morning to. visit Mrs. P. Ayckboume. Miss Irene Foreman, Tikorangi, who is ahortly to be married/ was 'guest of honour at a party given, by,.the Manakorihi Golf Club on Monday night at Waitara. / Mrs. Bruce Chapman was hostess at a bridge party on Saturday night. Mrs. S. Rollo entertained friends at her- home on Tuesday afternoon in honour of Mrs. R. Monteath, who will leave • soon for Auckland. Mrs. W. D. Hutchinson, Otago, is the guest of her daughter, Mrs. R. S. Duthie. Mrs. G. Hooker entertained at a farewell party yesterday afternoon. in honour of Mrs. R. Monteath. Miss Irene Larkin entertained at a “pantry” tea in- honour of Miss Jean Hughes, who is to be married shortly. Miss Joan Coad is visiting Wanganui. Misses Corry and Silson, Hawera, who have, been the guests of Mrs. J. Fox, returned on Monday. Mrs. H. A. Speedy and her daughter, Mrs. M. Sampson, Waipukurau, who have been visiting New Plymouth, left on their return on Tuesday.
