INCREASED REVENUE

TOLLS ON EAST EGMONT.

SERIES OF FINE WEEK-ENDS

A continued improvement in the toll receipts for the month of September at the Stratford mountain house was reported to a meeting of the East committee of the Egmont National Park Board last night. The total receipts were £4B 13s, compared with £l9 10s last year. This total comprised £24 15s park fees and £l5 7s 6d car tolls. For the six winter months now ended, said the secretary, the total receipts were £2lO 10s, including the income from the lorry, an increase of £BO 5s over that for the same period of last year. A series of fine week-ends was largely responsible for the improvement, remarked Mr. B. McMillan. It had been a splendid season for ski-ing.
