CLUB EVENTS DECIDED WOMEN’S MEDAL ROUND. NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB MATCH. Following were the best scores made in a medal round played yesterday by members of- the New Plymouth Women’s Club:— Senior.

Reductions in handicaps have , been made as follows: Mrs. Boon 26 to 23, Mrs. Linwood 29 to 26. GOLF AT TAUMARUNUI WIN FOR WAIMARINO CLUB, (Special to Daily News.) Taumarunui, Oct. 14. Members of the Waimarino Golf Club, who visited Taumarunui yesterday, easily beat the local club in both singles and four-ball matches. The results are as follows, Taumarunui players being mentioned first:— Four-ball Best Ball. Women: Miss McPherson and Mrs. Godfrey lost to Mrs. Windle and Miss Legge 1 down, Mrs. Wilks and Mrs. Spencer and Mrs. Marshall and Mrs. Towler all square, Miss Morgan and Miss Davis lost to Mrs. Murray and. Miss Feltham 4 and 3, Mrs. Boles and Miss Boles lost to Mrs. Webb and Mrs. Urwin 1 down, Mrs. McKenzie and Mrs. Cunningham lost to Miss Murray and Mrs. Marks 1 down, Miss Gunn and Miss Burtenshaw lost to Mrs. Stevenson and Miss Urwin 2 down. Men: Harty and Hedley and Murray and Blyth all square, Dabb and Moresby lost to Marshak and Canavan 2 down, Bretherton and Andrew and Strange and A. E. Mrs. Montgomerie (32) won a sealed hole match at Westown- yesterday. Other leading scores were: Mrs. Okey, Mrs. Elliott and Mrs. F. V. Sole (35). In the limit section the winner was Mrs. Boulton (34). Other good scores were: Miss Carter (35), Mrs. Collins (37) and Mrs. Hamilton (38). WIN FOR - ISS WEBSTER. L.G.U. MATCH AT NGAMOTU. Miss Webster won the week-end L.G.U. match at Ngamotu on Saturday with a score of 108—33—75. Other good cards were: Misses O’SuLivan 111—34—77, Neville 111—33—78, J. Medley 114—36—78. STRATFORD BOGEY MATCH. REDUCTIONS IN HANDICAPS. The October bogey match for women members of the Stratford Golf Club, was won yesterday by Miss V. Sangster with a card of 1 up. Other scores were Miss T, Penn 1 down, Mrs. McDonald 3 down, Miss M; Sangster 4 down. Reductions in handicap for October were made by Misses V. Sangster and L. Penn.; Miss Sangster played - excellent golf for a gross score .of 73 and reduced her handicap to 6.
