FITZROY RATEPAYERS

REQUESTS TO BOROUGH COUNCIL. The New Plymouth Borough Council is to-he asked to inform the Fitzroy Ratepayers’ Association what would be the effect on the rates of a restoration of the reductions made in the wages of borough council employees. This decision was made at the monthly meeting of the association on Monday, at which Mr. L. W. Fairhall presided. The number of collarless dogs roaming the streets and beaches of New Plymouth was commented upon arid it was agreed that the borough council should be approached to ascertain whether such dogs were registered or not. Owing to the number of motor accidents recently the borough council is to be urged to instruct inspectors to issue licenses to thoroughly competent drivers only.
