MR. DICKIE’S VIEW OF BRITAIN. all great industries active. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night Three members of the New Zealand delegation to the conference at London of the Empire Parliamentary Association, Messrs. H. G. Dickie (M.P. for Patea), W. A. Bodkin (M.P. for Central Otago), and C. M. Bothamley, clerk of Parliaments, returned by the Mataroa to-night from England. They have been away for about four months. “The whole tour,’’ said Mr. Dickie, “was a wonderful and valuable experience, and showed our delegation that Great Britain has definitely ridden out the storm, that all her great industries are active, and that unemployment is decreasing. “Enduring friendships have been formed between members of the various delegations, and all have expressed the opinion that the great structure of the British Commonwealth of Nations must be maintained and strengthened in the interests of our modern civilisation.” The Hon. Mark Fagan and Mr. P. Fraser, M.P. for Wellington Central, the other members of the delegation, stayed another month and will be returning to Nev/ Zealand via Canada.
