SILL BOISTEROUS
COLD, STRONG WINDS By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The weather will still be cold and boisterous, with rain in most districts and further heavy falls in places, especially on the east coast, says the 4 p.m. forecast. Snqw is probable on the ranges and snow or hail showers are likely also on parts <Sf the low country in eastern areas. Conditions will be mainly fair in Westland. An intense cyclonic depression has been crossing New Zealand, the centre to-day being east of the North Island. An anticyclone covers eastern Australia and the western Tasman Sea, the highest pressure being south-east of Tasmania. Westerly winds are probable at first in the far north and otherwise strong southerly winds to gales will prevail, moderating somewhat to-morrow.
